I blog every wedding I photograph up to 7 days after the wedding day. My couples love this part of the package as they get an instant look into how I photographed their day and quite often get to share this with their friends and family whilst they are on honeymoon! Sarah and Matty Elixir Club Ibiza Wedding Photographer

It’s not everyday you get to travel to Ibiza to photograph a wedding at a venue as stunning as the Elixir Shore Club in Cala Codolar. It was travelling the world that got me started in photography 6 years ago so being able to combine travel and photographing weddings is something I always enjoy and am always grateful for.

I met Sarah and Matty last year and when they told me they would like to fly me over to Ibiza with them I was thrilled and I just knew it was going to be a really special day and the chance to get some truly amazing photos for them both. Add to that that one of my best friends who’s also a super talented photographer, Brett Harkness, was to make the trip and shoot with me….well I couldn’t have asked for more.

We met up with Sarah, Matty, their little boy Jacob and many of their family and friends at the villa they are staying at for a couple of weeks. This place was amazing, spread over 4 levels, it has awesome views, swimming pools, outdoor dining areas…I could go on and on. Both Sarah and Matty were getting ready there so it was great to be able to capture all the preparations on both sides. So much care and thought had gone into all the details on the day, everywhere we looked there was something else that had been personalised or hand made and it all looked fabulous.

Sarah arrived at Elixir Shore Club in a vintage Rolls Royce with her father Rob. The sun was shining and the sky was so blue, there was not a cloud in the sky. The ceremony was to take place on a terrace with sea views as far as the eye could see and it was great to capture it all. So many great moments, Matty’s face as Sarah came down the aisle, the two Mum’s being involved in the ring blessing, a sand ceremony, readings and of course the exchange of vows. Sarah and Matty walked back down the aisle showered in rose petal confetti before reception drinks started flowing.

There was a Spanish guitarist playing throughout whilst drinks and canapés were served and we did the group shots with the sea as out background. We even had time for a mini couple session with Sarah and Matty before heading over for the wedding breakfast which was outside shaded from the sun.

The table plan was made up of Ibiza Club tickets with each table being named after a famous Ibiza club. There were sand favours, beautiful flower arrangements, hearts, love signs, so many details. The whole place looked great!

Speeches were before the meal and Rob, Matty, Sarah and Ben all did a great job. Matty earned some serious brownie points by surprising Sarah with a Cartier Watch as a wedding present.

After a beautiful bbq dinner we had time to have some fun with the bridal party and the dressing up box before heading down to the beach with Sarah, Matty and Jacob for sunset. This was something I will never forget as you’ll see from the images below. It was stunning, so many colours and the water was so crystal clear. A photographers dream for sure.

The fun didn’t stop there as it was now time for the first dance and of course the party! Sarah loves clubbing and she had hired Ben Santiago to DJ (He’s on the resident DJ’s at Hed Kandi) along with Lovely Laura on the Saxophone who was awesome! A great way to finish a perfect wedding day.

Sarah and Matty, thanks so much for flying me out to Ibiza to photograph your big day. It’s been so much fun getting to know you both and I really look forward to seeing you for your full viewing. I hope you enjoy reliving the day through your sneak peek storyboard below and continue to enjoy your honeymoon!
