I blog every wedding I photograph up to 7 days after the wedding day. My couples love this part of the package as they get an instant look into how I photographed their day and quite often get to share this with their friends and family whilst they are on honeymoon! Krissy and Teddy - Parilla Natural Wedding Photographer

On Sunday I made the trip over to Portugal with my team to photograph what can only be described as the “EPIC” wedding of Krissy and Teddy Sheringham.

Krissy was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed last year and when she asked me to fly over to the Algarve to cover her’s and Teddy’s wedding I jumped at the chance. When I asked them both about the sort of photos that were important to them they both said the same thing, “family and the children” , they just wanted everyone to have a great time and of course a great party! It was of no surprise that 120 family and friends joined them for their celebrations.

I met up with Krissy in her suite at the Monte Da Quinta Resort where she was getting ready with her Mum, Maid of honour Jess and daughter Lucy. Everything was really relaxed and I got the chance to get some great mother/daughter shots which I’m sure will be treasured for years to come.

Stunning doesn’t even come close to describing how Krissy looked in her dress designed by Atelier Kamelia and she blew her father Andreas away when he saw her for the first time. We even had a few video calls from Krissy’s twin sister Natasha who was pregnant and unable to attend, she would however surprise Krissy later in the evening but we’ll get to that.

Brett was busy covering Teddy’s groom prep as he got ready with his best man Ozzy and son George. Teddy was looking super sharp in his William Hunt suit and Brett got some lovely moments of him with George before they headed over to Parrilla Natural for the ceremony.

The ceremony setting was beautiful with a big flower archway at the front and I love the kids and Teddy’s reactions as they saw Krissy walk down the aisle. There were some lovely readings (tissues needed) and some great moments during the ceremony as Lucy didn’t want to part from her parents as they read their vows and exchanged rings which were perfectly delivered by George.

As the new Mr and Mrs Sheringham walked back down the aisle all their guests greeted them whilst everyone enjoyed drinks, canapés and the live music! The setting was fantastic, and with blue skies above us it was a really fun drinks reception. We even had some time to do some couple shots before sitting down for the wedding breakfast.

The food at Parrilla is exquisite and the singers kept everyone on the dance floor between courses which was great fun to capture.

It was soon time for the speeches and Matt, Teddy and Ozzy did a great job. Plenty of emotion all round and some really funny stories shared by the speakers. During Teddy’s speech the LCD screens came to life and Krissy’s Sister Natasha appeared and gave a beautiful speech about her sister, not a dry eye in the house!

It was soon time to get the party started and Mr and Mrs Sheringham did that in style with their first dance before everyone joined them to fill the dance floor. The music through the day was performed by Helen Toumazou and her band Version, then Luke Burr throughout the evening.

Its hard to describe in words just how special this wedding was. Teddy and Krissy are a pleasure to be around and are so adored by everyone it was just a really unique atmosphere and I loved every minute of it. Thank you to you both for asking me to photograph your wedding day. I can’t wait to share your full collection with you soon but for now heres your sneak peek storyboard!
