I blog every wedding I photograph up to 7 days after the wedding day. My couples love this part of the package as they get an instant look into how I photographed their day and quite often get to share this with their friends and family whilst they are on honeymoon! Nadine and Chris - The Tythe Barn Wedding Photographer

It was great being back at the Tythe Barn on Saturday for Chris and Nadine’s wedding. It’s often said that it’s the people that make a great wedding great and I have to agree with that statement. This wedding was full of great characters and we were also blessed with amazing light with an awesome golden hour which I just didn’t want to end.

Nadine got ready in the Nook which is a custom built area at the barn perfect for bridal preparations and literally a stones throw from the aisle she was to walk down later that day. We had such good weather that the ceremony was to be held outside which is always great news for photographers.

One of my favourite times of the morning was when Nadine’s father Phil saw her for the first time. She looked absolutely stunning and it was a lovely moment between father and daughter.

Chris arrived in style to say the least. There was a convoy of really special cars with Chris driving his new orange Lamborghini which was to feature in a few photos later in the day.

The ceremony was beautiful, everyone was sitting outside in the sunshine and it was such a pleasure to capture. There were readings from family and friends and everyone enjoyed watching the bringing together of two special people and their families.

After the ceremony everyone enjoyed Pimms and Canapés in the gardens whilst they were entertained by a magician. We did a few group shots and just enjoyed capturing everyone having a great afternoon catching up with friends.

The speeches were before the meal and Phil, Chris, Rob and Tom all did a great job of thanking everyone that had put so much effort into making the day so special. As well as telling many a funny story along the way. There were even a few props but we won’t mention those ay Chris 🙂

The food is a big part of weddings at The Tythe Barn as the Caterers are Jamie Oliver’s Fabulous Feasts. The wedding breakfast was a self carve roast so one person from each table was chosen as the designated chef (little to their knowledge) then they are taken away, dressed up and brought back in convoy dancing to “You can leave your hat on”. Great fun!

After the meal the light was simply perfect! It was the hour before sunset, known as “The Golden Hour” to photographers. Chris and Nadine are so laid back and they love photography. I really thank them for giving me the time and creative freedom to capture what I think are some truly beautiful portraits of them on such a special day in their lives.

To end the days formalities Chris and Nadine took to the dance floor to have their first dance as husband and wife before everyone joined them and the band really got the party started!

Chris and Nadine, it’s been a pleasure getting to know you both over the last few months and it was so much fun photographing your wedding day. I hope you have a great honeymoon and I look forward to sharing the full collection with you but for now heres your sneak peek storyboard!
