I blog every wedding I photograph up to 7 days after the wedding day. My couples love this part of the package as they get an instant look into how I photographed their day and quite often get to share this with their friends and family whilst they are on honeymoon! You can view my most recent posts below.
On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Simon and Natasha’s wedding in Nottingham with the ceremony being held at St Barnabas Cathedral followed by a beautiful reception at Blotts Country Club.
I arrived at St James’s hotel where Natasha, her family and her bridesmaids were all getting ready in the penthouse suite which had an amazing view over the city. Everyone was enjoying being pampered with hair and make up and of course a few glasses of champagne.
Natasha looked stunning in her dress, designed and made by one of her very talented bridesmaids Kamelia Andrioti. Her father Andreas was waiting for her downstairs and there were a few tears as they saw each other for the first time, a beautiful moment to capture. They soon headed off in style, in a Rolls Royce Phantom, to head to the cathedral.
Simon was looking super sharp in his suit and waiting patiently at the front of the Cathedral with their gorgeous daughter Amelia and it was all smiles as Natasha and Andreas walked down the aisle.
The cathedral looked amazing and was completely full with all Simon and Natasha’s closest friends and family. They all looked on as the happy couple said their vows and exchanged rings. Simon punched the air as they sealed the deal with a kiss and everyone cheered as they made their way back down the aisle.
I love the confetti shots as they left the church, such happiness and a joy to capture it all. There were many congratulations from all the guests and we even had time to do a few shots around the church with Simon, Natasha and Amelia before they headed back to the Rolls Royce for a glass of champagne and the short journey over to Blotts Country Club.
The main ballroom at Blotts is stunning, big chandeliers fill the ceiling and the top table is elevated above the dance floor so everyone had a great view of the happy couple and their family. Italian kissing traditions were abundant throughout the meal and many dances broke out thanks to the great music and singing by Luke.
The speeches were one of the many highlights of the day with Matt, Simon, Ettore and Angelo all doing a fab job entertaining the guests with funny one liners and also many sentimental moments and thank you’s!
Next up was the first dance and everyone surrounded the dance floor as Simon and Natasha had their first dance as husband and wife. This was soon followed by the Tarantella which was such good fun and you couldn’t see Natasha’s dress by the end of it thanks to so many generous friends and family.
To finish the night everyone headed outside for the cutting of the cake and as the knife went through, fireworks filled the air and the guests were treated to an awesome display. Truly a fantastic ending to the perfect wedding day.
Simon and Natasha, thanks for asking me to photograph your wedding. We had a blast with you both and all your lovely friends and family. It was so hard picking the shots for this sneak peek as I have so many to share with you. I hope you enjoy reliving the day through these and have a great honeymoon!
Big thanks also to Alex Bradbury for assisting and 2nd shooting on the day. Great job as always.
